Kitchen Re-Orginized

Last November Bill and I went to a GALA sponsored by the YMCA. We bid on and won a 3 hour consultation with a professional orginizer! I decided that our kitchen needed some serious help! I also thought that in 3 hours not only would we get the kitchen done, but then we could move on to the computer room. HA! Susan (the professional) told me that a kitchen usually takes about 8 hours to complete. Still I was thinking that we could knock it out in 3. I was almost right. ALMOST.

I now have handy dandy little baskets in lots of my cupboards and like things are grouped together. AMAZING. Click on the link for before and after shots. I like after much better! We are still not done (and Susan stayed for 4 hours, not 3) however we only have two counters to clear off of paper (like that will EVER happen!).

Rub a Dub Dub, Three Goofs in the Tub

I really just wanted to get some blackmail pictures up here! This was after a Perfect Night (see The Perfect Day post). While I don't have pictures of the Perfect Night, I've got the tubby shots after! On this evening - it was last Tuesday if you are wondering...after dinner we all went out into the back yard. Bill and I did our spring survey. We discussed what to plant in the garden this year (tomatoes and peppers - SURPRISE!), how to get rid of the weeds (I suggested a blow torch), the new fence we must get (gulp), repairs to the porch and putting in a patio to name a few. After this we played statue tag (think Red Light/Green Light) with the girls (yes, Samantha played too) for a few minutes before we headed back inside and Bill too the girls to the tub. Again, how much better can you get? Just PERFECT!

The Perfect Day

Last Sunday started that every other Sunday in the Berg Household...Mom & Dad tried to sleep in, but the kids had other ideas. They came in and jumped on our backs until our spines snaped. We decided it was time to get up and get moving. We had breakfest and made it to church on time (no small feat I can assure you) and then home for lunch. After lunch the entire family took a walk to the community center playgroud - even Noah. We stopped at the town green - or what passes as the green and romped in the open area. Total strangers stopped us and told us how beautiful our children are and how magnificent our dog is (OK I may be embelling here but I don't think so). See here is Noah and he is magnificent isn't he?

OK, so that's a picture of his shadow - or "a MONSTER" if you are talking to Maddy. Still, you can clearly tell he is magnificent! Anyway...we make it to the playground and the kids do as kids will - climb trees, swing on the monkey bars, and in general run amok - they had a great time! Then we went home and everyone took a nap. Now that's my Perfect Day! I think we might have even had pizza for dinner - can't get much better than that!
